On Aug 30 2020, DP4MD submitted questions to the SBLE & Jeff Shipley (Director of the SBLE) re: October exam + the temporary practice option. While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we are appreciative that the Court provided some alternative to those who are able to utilize it.
We encourage all applicants to continue studying for the October exam. We will continue to monitor the exam status and post updates on socials. Our advocacy strategy has shifted to a mitigation one. In doing so, we will continue to work to provide examinees with appropriate testing accommodations & resources. DP4MD advocates will spend the next five weeks preparing for the exam, as everyone else does too.
Our advocacy for Diploma Privilege is Maryland is not over. Once the exam is over, we will continue to advocate for Marylanders. However, for now, we all must accept the reality that the October exam is happening (one way or another). Please review our questions to see our mitigation related asks of the SBLE.
We are still here for you all. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at
In solidarity, DP4MD
